Hi all

I'm at the latter end of a year of stress and worry, I was diagnosed with renal cancer and then a brain tumor.

Surgery and radio and year of recovery I'm starting to feel a little lost, I'm getting ready to return to work, or was.

But I've ended up feeling a little lost with myself, after everything that happened to me, all the treatment and uncertainty. Anyone else felt like thisShrug

  • Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

You're certainly not the first person who has said that after they've come out of the other end of treatment they feel unsure.

As the online community is divided up into different support groups I'm going to recommend that you join the kidney cancer and secondary brain cancer groups as this will give you direct contact with others who may have had similar experiences to you.

Another group which I think you might benefit from joining is the life after cancer group which is for cancer survivors and people who have finished treatment. It is a space to discuss things like the physical and emotional after effects of cancer, returning to work, or trying to move on with your life.

Clicking on the links I've created will take you to the groups where you can join and post in the same way as you did here. You can also join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

It would be great if you could pop something about your  diagnosis and treatment into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

If you have any difficulty navigating the community just drop me a reply and I'll be pleased to help
