I have just been diagnosed with prostate cancer.  Am not usually one to do this as am not the most techie person, but at the moment I feel totally lost and alone despite being part of a family.  Above all I feel scared as hell.  So this is me reaching out to try and connect and just talk stuff through.

  • Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

I'm sorry to read that you've recently been diagnosed with prostate cancer. Having a cancer diagnosis can be isolating but you've joined the right community to help you.

As the online community is divided up into different support groups I'm going to recommend that you join the prostate cancer group which is a great place to ask questions, share experiences and get support from others with the same type of cancer.

Clicking on the link I've created will take you to the group where you can join and post in the same way as you did here. You can also join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

It would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

If you have any difficulty navigating the community just drop me a reply and I'll be pleased to help
