Hi all, I feel I'm struggling to get help or any form of emotional support. My husband has been diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer That's s spread to his liver. He had chemotherapy but it caused so much for him.. He got DVT IN his legs and his lungs gave blood clots. The hospital put my husband on stronger injections which have helped his legs.
He struggles to breath and it takes him ages to get dressed etc. I lost my first husband with cancer which was very painful to see. Nobody understands unless they have been through it. It seems to hit worse when it's your husband. I have a diagnosis of schizophrenia and I get my moment especially when my husband is snappy. I know it's his illness, I'm verh slow in my way of thinking sometimes because of my meds etc and feet issues. I do try very hard.
I'm praying that he improves, but I keep getting really bad feelings. If there's anyone else that has been in this position I'd love to hear. Ask me any questions you want.. MAZ.
Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I'm sorry to read about your husband's diagnosis and how much you're struggling emotionally.
The online community is divided up into different support groups so I'm going to recommend that you join the carers only group which is a safe and supportive place to discuss your worries and emotions with others who have a loved one living with cancer.
Clicking on the link I've created will take you to the group where you can then join and post in the same way as you did here. You can also join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
It would be great if you could pop something about your husband's diagnosis and treatment into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
If you have any difficulty navigating the community just drop me a reply and I'll be pleased to help
