Hi my husband was recently diagnosed with stage 3 bowel cancer. He also has an irregular heartbeat. He had surgery which was successful and started chemo last week. I would like to ask the community for tips of how I can best support him on his journey. Any suggestions for evening snacks that he can have with his second daily does of chemo tablets who be great. Also how long do you have to stop having cold drinks. He isn’t keen on warm water and feels he is wants more than a cup of tea.
Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I'm sorry to read about your husband's diagnosis and it's natural to have lots of questions.
As the community is divided up into different support groups I'm going to recommend that you join the bowel cancer group, which is a great place to ask your questions and share experiences with others who have the same type of cancer as your husband, and also the carers only group which is a safe and supportive place to discuss your emotions and to find out what others have found provides the best support.
Clicking on the links I've created will take you to the groups where you can join and post in the same way as you did here. You can also join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
If you have any difficulty navigating the community just drop me a reply and I'll be pleased to help
