Her liver is so big now which is causing her alot of pain and there is lots of fluid gathered around her ankles making it difficult to walk  she's hardly eating and the worry is killing us. How does everyone else cope with the sheer emotion this disease vauses
  • Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

Waiting for the results of tests is something that we all find very hard but most people agree that once you know what you're dealing with and have a treatment plan in place it does become easier.

The online community is divided up into different support groups so I'm going to recommend that you join the liver cancer group, which is a great place to ask questions and share experiences if it is confirmed that your mum has that type of cancer, and also the family and friends group where you can share your feelings and get support from others who have a loved one living with cancer.

Clicking on the links I've created will take you to the groups where you can join and post in the same way as you did here. You can also join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

It would be great if you could pop something about your mother's diagnosis and planned treatment, when you know more, into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

If you have any difficulty navigating the community just drop me a reply and I'll be pleased to help
