Hi looking for help and advise for my partner with brain cancer
that’s had hip problems due to steroids and causing a lot pain !
Hi Keepercottage and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
As the community is divided up into different support groups I'm going to recommend some for you to join, leaving you to choose the most appropriate one for your partner's type of brain cancer. The first is the brain cancer group, which is for anyone affected by brain tumours or brain cancer, the second is the low-grade brain tumours group, which is for people with low-grade (grade 1 or 2) brain tumours, and the last is the glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) brain tumour group, whose name is self explanatory. They are all great places to ask questions, share experiences and get support.
I'm also going to suggest that you join the safe and supportive carers only group which will give you the chance to talk to others who have a loved one living with cancer.
To join any of these groups just click on the appropriate link and then join and start a new post in the same way as you did here. You can also join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
It would be great if you could pop something about your partner's diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
