I started treatment in December: immunotherapy fortnightly and Axitinib 5mg twice daily. No problems for the first month but then my skin started itching on my back, arms, shoulders and abdomen all the time except when I’m asleep. The cancer centre have given me Pliazon Plus cream which gives me some relief but not lasting. Does anyone have any advice about how to manage the itching please.

  • Hi

I'm sorry to read about the side effects you're experiencing while being on immunotherapy.

I can see that you've previously posted in the kidney cancer group. I hope you don't mind me suggesting that you copy and paste this post into a new post there as then you'll connect with others who may be having the same type of treatment as you.

If this is something that you'd like to do clicking on the link I've created will take you straight to that group.

Hi latchbrook thank you for your information. I’ve had an email saying someone has responded to my query but I don’t see anywhere I can read it?

  • Hi

The email would have been generated when I replied to you, so to read it you would do exactly what you've done, ie come to the page where you posted and read the response Slight smile

    I hope this helps

Hi latchbrook, I’m not the best on technology but I still can’t a way to reply! I’ve seen in my emails somebody has replied but can’t answer their email. I’ve had a telephone appointment this morning from someone on my oncologist team and they are sending a prescription to my doc for some steroid cream. Hopefully that will help. As regards the MacMillan site I’ll have to get some help from my end. Thank you for your help.

  • Hi

That's good to read that you've been given a prescription which will hopefully help.

You can't reply directly to the email as that's just advising you that you have had a reply. However, when you click on the link in the email it should take you to the person's reply on the online community.

Other than mine, the only other reply you've had is this one. To reply to the person click on the 'reply' button at the end of their post to you, just like you've done to me.

This link will give you more detailed information on how to respond to someone's post.
