Hi, I was diagnosed late in 2020 with breast cancer for the second time. I underwent a mascetomy and finished chemo in April last year. As my cancer was oestrogen based I am now on a monthly zoladex injection, bone drug every 6 months and letrozole as they have put me into the menopause.

I am struggling more now with achey body, weight gain, hot hands and feet to name a few and just wondered if anyone else was experiencing difficulties with weight loss?

Also I am waiting for a reconstruction but because I had radiotherapy first time round with my cancer in 2012, the procedure I snore complicated as they take muscle from stomach or back? Has anyone had the procedure? Thanks

  • Hi  and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

As the community is divided up into different support groups I'm going to recommend that you join the breast cancer group which is a great place to ask your question, share experiences and get support.

To join just click on the link I've created and then join and post in the same way as you did here. You can also join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

It would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

If you have any difficulty navigating the community just drop me a reply and I'll be pleased to help
