Hello,

I have been having stomach ache now for 3 weeks the discomfort is only a 1 out of 10 and my body functions ie toilet and stools are normal.

I have a telephone conversation with my doctor next week but I suffer with crippling anxiety which is making everything worse because your tummy is in knots when we worry.

I had cancer before testicular and it spread to my abdomen lythp nodes but have been clear for over 5 years.

I am so scared and with my anxiety I am going out of my mind.

Currently on a cruise with my wife back in UK next week but so constantly scared.

  • Hi  and welcome to the Online Community although I am so sorry to see you joining us.

In these early days of the diagnosis process it's worth having a chat with someone.

The Macmillan Support Line is open 8am-8pm (timings may differ across services) 7 days a week on 0808 808 00 00 or via Webchat and Email too. This service provides cancer information, practical information, emotional support or just a listening ear.

Talking to people face to face when on a cancer journey (patient or family) can be very helpful but during these strange times it’s not that available but do check to see if any Local Macmillan Support in your area has opened up. Do also check out for a local Maggie's Centre in your area as these folks are amazing.

Always around if you need further help in navigating the community.

    All the very best

  • Once you know what you are dealing with there are lots of support groups on the site - have a look through this list

...... and please enjoy the rest of your cruise.
