Hi everyone
Just new here today and I lost my Dad in August to Pancreatic cancer. I am still numb. We didn't expect him to lose his fight and it was a huge shock.
I am an only child do don't have the luxury of having a sibling to share this with me.
My dad was only 68 years of age and very fit and active. I just miss him every day.
He was diagnosed end of April and only managed one chemo session as he had to fight infection after infection.
You never know pain like this until it happens to you.
Hi and a warm welcome to the online community
I'm so sorry to read that you lost your dad to cancer last year. As the online community is divided up into different support groups I'm going to recommend that you join the bereaved family and friends groups which is for anyone who has lost a family member or friend to cancer to share their feelings and support one another
To join just click on the link I've created and then choose 'click to join' or 'join' (depending on the device you're using) on the page that opens. You can then introduce yourself and post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
If you have any difficulty navigating the community just drop me a reply and I'll be pleased to help
