Hi spiritlady and warm welcome to the Macmillan Online Community although sorry that you had to find us and especially sorry to hear about your husbands Lymphoma diagnosis.
I am Mike Thehighlander and I help out around our Lymphoma (blood cancer) groups.
I was diagnosed back in 1999 with a rare, low grade, slow growing type of Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma so have been on this journey rather a long time. Yes its baffling but Lymphoma is very treatable with great results.
Do you actually know the exact NHL type you have?...... as there are a few.
The New to Community is rather like our reception desk where we can signpost you to our various cancer specific support groups but we can’t have a group for all the types types but these are our main Lymphoma groups below.
General Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma
These groups are safe places to talk to others who may have a similar diagnosis, treatment experience, to ask questions, get support and talk with others who are supporting family and friends on their journey.
If you'd like to connect in with a group, you do need to join the group. Click on the Green linkI have created above. Then once the page opens click on the black banner that says [click to join] at the bottom, or the [Join]button under "Group tools."
You can then introduce yourself by putting up a ‘new post’ by clicking in the box near the top right with + New (Computers) or + (Mobile Devices). You will then see a dropdown menu so hit ‘Chat’ or ‘Start a Discussion in New here, say hello’ and you are ready to go.
You could copy and paste the text from this your first post. You can also search through existing ‘Discussions’ and click [reply] if you want to put up a comment.
I will keep an eye open for you but if you are not sure what to do and where to go do get back to me on this post and I will help you out further ((hugs))
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
