Was diagnosed with Breast cancer in June 21, followed by several scans where they found a cancerous lump on my kidney and also follicular lymphoma.  A lot to take in as I didn’t feel Ill in anyway, but prognosis is good.  This all started with a regular mammogram.  After lots of biopsy’s it was decided the breast cancer took priority, as all 3 cancers are separate and not linked at all, I’ve now had 4 lots of chemotherapy and dealt really well with it. On 3rd of November my 90 yer old mother died, I had never told her about my diagnosis as she had slight dementia  and I didn’t think she needed to worry. She lived a 4 hour drive away, and because of Covid most contact was over the phone so she never saw the changes of hair loss etc.  10 days before her funeral I ended up in hospital with an infection and sepsis.  Because of the ward I was on no one was able to visit, which I found really hard.     Had my 5th round of chemotherapy between Christmas and New Year, but my body rejected it and now waiting for oncology to get back to me about what happens next.  The breast lump has shrunk and after 6 rounds is to be removed.

I just feel so down at the moment, so much has happened in the last 2 months and I’m finding it difficult to pick myself up again.  I have a husband and grown up children that are very supportive but also finding it hard to see this once strong women who could face anything, now crumble.

Just  wondering if anyone has experienced anything like this and have any tips to help pick myself up again.
