Hello. Recently I’ve been watching the cancer research tv advert saying one in two of us will get cancer, I’ve idly wondered if it was going to be me or my husband. Well now I know. A  routine mammogram in early December got me recalled just before Christmas for further mammogram, ultrasound and biopsies. Last week I got the result by phone as there’s a shortage of face to face appointments. It seems I have an intermediate 6mm ductile carcinoma in situ which doesn’t sound too bad, and I think it means it hasn’t spread, but will have to come out. I’m actually not especially worried about this, but what does worry me is that I’m going to be a difficult patient. I have MS, I can’t walk, but I usually weight bear to transfer, but I can’t always get to my feet unaided. I can’t sit up in bed without help, roll over etc and need help dressing and undressing. I don’t suppose I’m the first but I do feel anxious about it and quite guilty about how much trouble I’ll be. Apparently I’ll soon get an appointment with a surgeon, and they anticipate surgery will be within four weeks. I just needed to share
