I was told on Thursday this week by a chest consultant that I had Lung cancer which has spread to the ribs and Liver. This was picked up in November from an x ray I had done when I injured my shoulder back in September. Since had a CT scan which confirmed what was seen on the x ray. This news came totally out of the blue for me and I am now numb with shock as is my family. Having an EBUS test on Tuesday to help diagnose the type of cancer so treatment options can be given. I am worried because the cancer has spread
Hi TinaB24 and a warm welcome to the Online Community although so sorry to hear about your diagnosis, this is such a hard time for you but I do hope you will find lots of comfort and support from people who understand here on the Online Community.
The New to Community area is like our reception where you can be signposted on to our many dedicated support groups and I see you have joined our Lung Cancer you may also look at our Lung, secondary cancer group. These are safe places to talk to other people who might have a similar diagnosis or treatment experience.
If you'd like to connect in with this groups click on the Green links I have created above. Then you can introduce yourself by putting up a new post by clicking in the box near the top right with + New (Computers) or + (Mobile Devices). You will then see a dropdown menu so why not hit ‘Start a Discussion in New here, say hello’
You could copy and paste the text from this your first post. You can also search through existing ‘Discussions’ and click [reply] if you want to put up a comment.
