Hello all you warriors of the Big C!I am a new member living in North Nottinghamshire.
I have served with the Corps of Royal Engineers and served as police sergeant.
My police beat consisted of the cancer hospital at Weston Park, Sheffield. Whenever I walked past it I always said that I never wanted to be a patient there…..and here we are. Life can be a bitch at times.
Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community
I think you've hit it on the head when you say that we all probably felt happy to be on the outside of a cancer hospital and had a shock when we discovered that we now qualified to go in!
I can see that you've joined the prostate cancer group and, when you feel ready to post there, just click on the link I've created. You'll find it's a great place to ask questions, share experiences and get support.
It would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
