Hi - First time on here.  Was diagnosed with grade 3 triple negative breast cancer on 10.06.21.  Have just finished 3 x EC chemotherapy and 3 x Paclitaxel/Carboplatin.  On the whole I've coped quite well with it but following my last cycle 8 days ago I'm really struggling to pick myself up.  I am floored by utter exhaustion and it's not sleep deprived tiredness but just no energy to do anything. My brain is willing but the body is just not having any of it :(  I can't do anything without getting light headed and short of breath and needing to rest. I'm on oral iron to try and get my bloods in order prior to surgery (date to be confirmed). Anyone experienced the same or can offer any advice on this  I feel completely useless and so frustrated.

  • Hi  and a very warm welcome to the online community

I'm sorry to read how you're feeling and I can understand why it would make you feel so frustrated.

I can see that you've already found and joined the breast cancer group and I'm sure you'll find it a great place to ask questions, share experiences and get support. When you feel ready to post there just click on the link I've created which will take you straight there. You can then start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

You might also like to join the triple negative breast cancer group as well. If so clicking on the link I've created will take you straight there where you can join in the same way as you did when you joined the breast cancer group.

It would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
