Hello,
Not too sure i actually belong here but thought i might try anyway. At the beginning of November i had some very, very slight vaginal bleeding. I am 61 and over 10 years since my last period. Checked it all out and all the advice was to see my GP. Filled in one our GP surgery e-consult forms fully expecting them to say it wasn't an issue and to monitor it. Instead i got a call back less than 2 hours later, (Friday morning). I was then offered a GP appointment face to face for Monday! Attended that appointment and had all the usual examinations. GP then referred me on the Two Week pathway for checks for uterine cancer. Thursday of the same week i had an ultrasound and a trans-vaginal ultrasound. I now have an appointment with the consultant for 10/11!
I know i have not got a diagnosis but i am sure someone on this group has gone through the same issues.
Interesting contrast that my friend submitted a e-consult form with her GP surgery (different one, same town) over two weeks ago and has not even received a reply to that form!!!
I am aslo currently dealing with my husband being in hospital with appendicitis where i can only visit him for 1 hour twice a week!!
Hi Garryswife and a very warm welcome to the online community
It does sound like all investigations and referrals are happening very fast which is great but can also be worrying.
The online community is divided up into different support groups so I'm going to recommend that you join the womb (uterus) cancer group which is a great places to ask questions, share experiences and get support.
To join just click on the link I've created and then choose 'click to join' or 'join' (depending on the device you're using) on the page that opens. You can then introduce yourself and post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
It would be great if you could pop a little something about your journey so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
If you have any difficulty navigating the community just drop me a reply and I'll be pleased to help.
