Hi my name is Jo, just had a biopsy in my left breast. I had Dcis and invasive cell carcinoma 3 years ago on the right side. I'm not sure I'm emotionally up for this again x
Hi JoanneEH and welcome to the Online Community. I am so sorry to read about your BC showing it’s ugly head again but I do hope you will find the support available in the community helpful at this difficult and challenging time.
Talking with others who are walking the exact same type of cancer treatment path will help you navigate this unwanted journey. I will say that over my 22 years on my incurable blood cancer journey I have had many relapses but it’s amazing how the strength and resolve comes to get through it all.
The New to Community is like the Community Reception area and as there are many cancer types and experiences so likewise the Community has many dedicated support groups to connect into and I see you have actually joined our Breast cancer group, this will be a good place for you to connect with other folks who may be on the same cancer treatment pathway.
Navigating the community will depend on the device you are using. To go to the group just click on the green link above then introduce yourself by putting up a post by clicking on ‘New Thread’ or ‘New here, say hello’ then hit the box with the X on the top right (phones).
You could just copy and paste the text from this your first post and you can also join in with existing ‘Discussions’ by clicking on 'reply'.
It’s always good to talk so do call the Macmillan Support Services on 0808 808 00 00 - most services are open 8am to 8pm, 7 days a week Clicking here to see what is available. This service provides lots of cancer information, emotional support, benefit and financial guidance or just a listening ear.

Hi Mike, thanks for your reply. I'm so sorry your journey has been such a long one. My first diagnosis was 6 weeks after my son finished 3.5 years on chemo for ALL and I just couldn't believe it. I can cope with the treatment it's the worry of whats next, i had a gynae scare in the summer also .
The what next? is always an initial worry following a relapse or reoccurrence but from my experience there has always been a next tool to do a job on this and let’s look for that tool to be used for you ((hugs))
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
