Hello. At age 63, was this week diagnosed with Grade 1 invasive ductal carcinoma of breast. Surgery is planned for 15th November for lumpectomy and lymph node removal and I’m not sure how I feel at the moment. I’ve sort of been supporting my husband and kids emotionally as they’ve been tearful - but I haven’t cried at all. I’d be grateful to meet others who may have felt this way. I also suffer with fibromyalgia so pain is a daily thing for me and I’m concerned how treatment will affect my pain flares. Thank you.

hello. I'm 57 and triple negative ductal cancer diagnosis two weeks ago. I've found telling friends & family utterly exhausting. Thankfully none have been tearful! Nor me. I feel grateful there is a treatment plan. I have lumpectomy & 2/3 lymph node removal booked for 2 Dec. Probable chemo & radio after that, which I am dreading more than surgery. Not looking like it has gone to lymph nodes from the scan. I've gone overdrive cooking for the freezer this week! My sons are adults and have had a few wobbly days but are insistent we will get through this a s a family. My husband is very stoic.
