Hi everyone I am 55 years old was given my diagnosis on Tuesday 12th October 2021
I have stage 4 anal cancer which is in my lymph nodes in my groin and tummy
Feel like my life is over
Waiting to be transferred from one hospital to another so have no idea when treatment will start. Have been told it will be a combination of chemo and radio therapy
In the meantime I'm in a lot of discomfort, going to the toilet 7 or 8 times a day sore as he'll with burning and stabbing pains. The nights are worse the terrible itching
Have not been prescribed anything to help does anyone have any tips to ease things
Hi Bumchum66
A big welcome to the community though so sorry to hear about what your are going through. Cannot relate to some of what you say since it is my wife with the cancer - but itching - I have Lichen sclerosus - sometimes just want to tear the skin off.
As you are in hospital anything will have to get past the medics so do ask if they have anything to help - you might also like to post in Anal cancer forum as there will be plenty of people at all stages of this journey there who might be helpful to be in contact with.
Hope the transfer comes soon.
<<hugs>>
Steve
