Hello everyone

I received my diagnosis of TNBC yesterday so still getting my head round it. I have an appointment with a surgeon next week. A friend told me to avoid google but did recommend a book, Surviving Triple Negative BC by Pat Prijatel which seems to be easy to read so I will stick with that.

Wishing everyone all the very best.

  • Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community

I'm sorry to read that you've recently been diagnosed with TNBC and your friend is right that you should be selective about what you look at on google. It is full of useful information but there can be some very outdated stats and info.

The online community is divided up into different support groups and I can see that you've already joined the TNBC cancer group which is a great place to ask questions, share experiences and get support.

When you're ready to post there just start a new post in the same way as you did here and you can also join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

It would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

If you have any difficulty navigating the community just drop me a reply and I'll be pleased to help.
