Hi. I've just joined but am going through a nightmare..... Was recalled after mammogram iand after biopsy in July was told I had breast cancer but nymph nodes were negative, but initial scan showed 8mms lump which was 15mms when biopsied. Had lump removed in August and one lymph gland (as a precaution). Went along last week for results and was told I had stage 3 breast cancer - lump had grown and they removed 42mms plus margin and the lymph gland was now positive for cancer cells. Was stunned as expectedto be told it had all gone - just radiotherapy required! Now have wig appt tomorow, heart scan weds, bloods and clinic appointment friday and chemo 1st session next week....can't take it all in. My Hubby's on dialysis and has taken himself off the transplant list temporarily as he doesn't feel he can cope with things as he wants to make sure I'm okay - I've always been the healthy one who supports him & our daughter (who.also has health issues!)... It's all reversed now..., She's my emergency back up if I need a driver to get to the cancer centre. My employers have been brill and has offered preferred to our counselling team 3rd but can't we now they're going to help!. My heads all over the place as in top of all this my mother died unexpectedly in the afternoon after I had my pre-op appt (Juky) so we're all trying to sort out her house, will etc, but I've put a soliciting sorting probate and, as an only chikd, we're all.sorting house gradually. Don't think I've really taken things in, but I'm just ploddingthrough and going from appointment to appointment at the mo! At least they're sorting my health quickly!
