Hi just after abit of advice, have a rare form of terminal cancer. Have it in the pertinum ( think that's how it's spelt).

In bed alot as have no energy, had chemotherapy yesterday was really poorly all night, sickness and on the loo.  I love ice pools, but know they r not good for my belly.

Any other ideas on what I could eat that won't upset my stomach too much, and need to just try and keep it down. Love crips but don't think they r any good unless I eat the soft ones. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks

  • Hi  and welcome to the Online Community.

I am so sorry to read about the challenges you are facing but I hope you will find the support available in the community helpful at this difficult and challenging time.

Talking with others who are walking the same type of cancer treatment journey (my one is completely different) will help you navigate this unwanted journey.

The New to Community is like the Community Reception area and as there are many cancer types and experiences so likewise the Community has many support groups so can I recommend you start by joining our supportive Peritoneal cancer and Living with incurable cancer - incurable patients only groups as these will be good places for you to connect with other folks who may be on the same cancer treatment pathway.

Navigating the community will depend on the device you are using. To join a group just click on the green link above then scroll down and choose 'click to join' or 'join' on the page that opens.

You can then introduce yourself by putting up a post by clicking  on ‘New Thread’ or ‘New here, say hello’ then hit the box with the X on the top right (phones).

You could just copy and paste the text from this your first post and you can also join in with existing ‘Discussions’ by clicking on 'reply'.

It’s always good to talk so do call the Macmillan Support Services on 0808 808 00 00 - most services are open 8am to 8pm, 7 days a week Clicking here to see what is available. This service provides lots of cancer information, support, financial guidance or just a listening ear.

To find information covering diagnosis, treatments and pages covering most types of cancers check our Online Information and Support Section

    All the very best ((hugs))

Hi I’m so sorry to hear of your diagnosis. My mum has just been diagnosed with the same terminal cancer a couple of weeks ago. They say it is the secondary cancer tho and can’t seem to find the primary even tho she has had many scans and tests. She has been offered chemo for 6 rounds but is unsure whether she will take it or not. I unfortunately was diagnosed with grade 3 breast cancer 18mths ago and am only just coming to the end of my treatment. She has seen how much I have struggled with the chemo as I seemed to get nearly every side effect going and I think it is putting her off having it tho she knows it effects people differently. I don’t have any advice for you I’m sorry but if you have any that could help my mum I would be very grateful.
