Hi, home after having lumpectomy after guide wire placement which was so pain and difficult for him to find. Surgery took longer than expected something to do with they couldnt find lymph nodes, after recovery was awlful, uncontrollable shakng, drop in temperature, nausea x 5, sweating etc had to be kept in over night with anti sickness injections. Finally home trying to do exercises as instructed which are making me feel sick, still feeling dizzy and muddled headed. Tearful as i am now regretting my decision for lumpectomy instead of masectomy and concern they may not have got it all out or actually spread it about with the wire thing. I thought the surgety was going to be the worst, but its everything else and the emotion side too and feeling sooooo tired!!
Hi sorry to hear about the challenges you have had and are still having.
I see you have joined and posted in our Breast cancer group before, this would be the best place to connect with folks who may be on the same cancer treatment pathway and have the same experiences.
Why not go to the group and put up a ‘New Thread’ or hit the box with the X on the top right (phones), you could just copy and paste the text from this post into your new post.
It’s always good to talk so do call the Macmillan Support Services on 0808 808 00 00 - most services are open 8am to 8pm, 7 days a week Clicking here to see what is available. This service provides lots of cancer information, support, financial guidance or just a listening ear.
We also have Cancer Nurse Team in our Ask an Expert section, but do allow two working days for replies from our expert team.
All the very best ((hugs))
If you put your finger over any area of text in your original post it should come up with a little blue highlight box with two blue dots -top left and bottom right - take no notice of the word ‘Quote’
Use these dots to stretch the box so select the text you want to copy then hit ‘Copy’
Start a new thread in the Breast cancer group, give the thread a title then go down to the text box and then hit paste.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
