Hi all,
I have just been diagnosed with Lymphoma. It’s a slow growing one (which I think is good) but I got totally wrecked the day before I was due to speak to the Macmillan guy (I didn’t know what else to do) the ENT guy had told me on the Friday I had cancer and would need Chemo! that’s not what the doc told me the following Monday.
as I was still wrecked lol, I didn’t let my mum come and went alone, now I’m not sure what he told me was good, bad or ugly, tbh just prefer to bury my head in the sand.
I’m really struggling with the fact I have cancer, wether it’s slow growing or not, I feel like that’s it for me.
Hi again Information overload in the early days is a Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma diagnosis is normal.
I think you may have wanted to post this in our NHL Groups. The New to Community is our general ‘reception’ area for the Community so you need to make your way along to the specific area for your cancer type so you can meet up with others walking the same type of cancer journey.
I see you have already joined our supportive Follicular lymphoma group so if this is your type you can introduce yourself to the group by putting up a ‘New Thread’ or hit the box with the X on the top right (phones). You can just copy and paste the text from this post.
I will keep an eye open for you in the group and we can then unpack the best way for you to navigate this journey.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
