I’m on day 6 on cycle 1 chemo and I feel so spaced out and can’t stand for very long! I wasn’t expecting to feel quite so weak and fragile this early on, has anyone been through this and felt better quickly or is it a gradual slope downhill?
Hi and welcome to the Online Community but so sorry to hear about your cancer diagnosis and the post chemo challenges you are facing.
Your body is in shock and often the first treatment can be so challenging but often the next treatment tends to be more straightforward as your body will not be so shocked. I went through 6 cycles that had me on 120 hrs chemo each cycle and each treatment was so different.
You may find talking with others who are walking the same type of cancer journey will help you navigate this difficult time.
There are many cancer types so likewise the Community has many cancer specific support groups. You don’t say what cancer you have but you can look through this list and choose the appropriate one for you.
To join a group just click on the link above then choose 'click to join' or 'join' (depending on the device you're using) on the page that opens.
You can then introduce yourself by putting up a ‘New Thread’ or hit the box with the X on the top right (phones), you could just copy and paste the text from this your first post. You can also join in with existing ‘Discussions’ by clicking on 'reply'.
