My husband has prostrate cancer that has spread to his bones ,we found this out in February when he was admitted to hospital with a neck issue he had no symptoms of prostate cancer and his Psa was 170 . He has since had an operation to stabilise his neck and degaralix injections for 3 months which has brought the Psa level down to 1.7 .and he is now on prostrap injections I am just looking for guidance as to where we go next as he has been offered 3 options carry on with the injections chemo  docetaxel or the enzalutamide tablets I am terrified with all this as I have illness anxiety issues and do not cope very well with illness at all , but still trying to give support .

  • Hi and a warm welcome to the online community although I'm sorry that you've had to find us.

I can see that you've already joined the carers group which is a great place to discuss your worries and emotions with others who are looking after a loved one with cancer

Could I recommend that you also join the prostate cancer group as it's a great place to ask questions and share experiences with others who have prostate cancer. If you'd like to do this just click on the link I've created and then join in the same way as you did when you joined the carers group.

It would be great if you could update your profile with your husband's diagnosis and treatment so far as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

If you have any difficulty navigating the community just drop me a reply and I'll be pleased to help.
