Hi, I have just joined. I don’t really know what to say or what I am looking for in a response. I’m 32, happily married with an almost 2 year old. I have just been diagnosed with DCIS breast cancer. Waiting on lymph node biopsy results and a plan of action. Feeling very lost and terrified if I’m honest. Really really scared.
You will be strong too - we have to be as we have no choice as we want to be there for our kids! We got this ... come what may, with the great clinical guidance we will get, we will tackle this step by step! Don’t be afraid to ask lot of questions and make notes in the meetings. A friend suggested an app called OWise which might help you formulate key questions and their blog is good - check it out. Breast cancer is complicated but reading up somehow helped give me knowledge & feel a little more in control, if that makes sense?
good luck for 15th - everything crossed for you!
