Hello everyone.

I decided to join up this afternoon as I am finding my side effects from my cancer treatments are wearing me down more and more.

Hopefully I will be able to find advice from others who have experienced the same or similar.

Firstly though I need to figure out how to navigate the site to find the information I need.

Briefly in the last year I have had a radical hysterectomy, 6 months of carbotaxel, 25 pelvic external beam sessions and finally 3 brachytherapy sessions. My oncologist says I have had an extreme reaction to the radiation and it just needs time.

I am now 4 months post completion and my vaginal, vulval, urinary and rectal symptoms are not resolving any and it's affecting my ability to get out and moving. I also now have the dreaded lymphoedema in my genital area and legs.

I am interested to hear from others who may have had similar experiences.

My cancer is dedifferentiated grade 3 stage 3b endometrial which I believe is relatively rare (only recognised by the WHO in 2014) and more aggressive than a sarcoma. None of the staff looking after me at any point have ever heard of this type of endometrial cancer.

Thank you in anticipation.
