Hi, I’m a new member and I’m supporting my 85year old Mum who has secondary liver cancer ( primary being her bowel) & tracing in her lungs.
Palliative care is the only support but already she is experiencing aching coupled with spells of going hot & cold....there is no pattern to when that happens. Anyone any experience of that? I want to be able to say or do something that will help her and distract her from sitting contemplating what might be ahead.
Hello Shhhh
Welcome to the forum and thank you for reaching out, I am sorry to read that your Mum has Bowel cancer with secondaries in her liver and lungs, and that she is experiencing pain whilst receiving palliative care.
My husband has secondaries liver and lung, his primary is oesophageal and is also receiving palliative care, it is difficult sometimes, but I am sure that you will find the right things to do, and say as Mum continues on this journey.
There are various forums where others who are having or have had similar experiences to your own where you might find some guidance
