Hello All, new to the forum, a brief outline of my story.
Long before the internet and the online support available now my youngest son was diagnosed with leukemia, early 90's a long battle ensued with a brief period of remission then back to treatment after a relapse. Thanks to the fabulous staff at Birmingham Children's Hospital my son is now 34 and living a full life. Fast forward to now, his older brother at the age of 37 has just been diagnosed with stage 3B Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Absolutely dreading and petrified knowing what we've been through and what's to come.
Hi and welcome to the Macmillan Online Community although sorry that you needed to find us and especially sorry to hear about your sons diagnosis and yes, you are all set n the blood cancer rollercoaster again.
The Community is organised into dedicated support groups so can I recommend you join our supportive Hodgkin lymphoma group, this will be a good place to connect with others navigating the support of a family member on the same type of cancer journey.
To join a group just click on the link above then choose 'click to join' or 'join' (depending on the device you're using) on the page that opens. You can then introduce yourself by putting up a ‘New Thread’ or hit the box with the X on the top right (phones), you could just copy and paste the text from this your first post. You can also join in with existing ‘Discussions’ by clicking on 'reply'.
((hugs))
