Hi and a warm welcome to the Online Community.
A cancer diagnosis brings confusion, stress and many questions but I found talking with other people who are on the same type of journey helped a lot.
The Online Community is organised into dedicated support groups and yes we have our supportive Carers only and Melanoma groups as these are good places where you will connect with others walking the same journey both as patient or family.
Follow the above links then choose ‘click to join' or ‘join’ when the page opens. You can then introduce yourself, post questions or just join in with existing discussions by clicking on 'reply'.
It’s always good to talk and the Macmillan Support Services provides lots of information, support, financial guidance or just a listing ear.
Most services are open 8am to 8pm, 7 days a week and it's free to call on 0808 808 00 00 have a look by Clicking here to see what is available and we also have our Ask an Expert section, but do allow two working days for replies from our expert team.
Our Online Information and Support Section is a good place to find information covering diagnosis, treatments and pages covering most types of cancers.
All the very best.
Hi and welcome to the online community although I'm sorry that you need to find us.
The community does indeed have some groups that might suit you. The first is the carers only group which, as it's title suggests, is just for carers and not patients so you can safely discuss any worries you might have. The second is the supporting someone with incurable cancer group, if the person you're caring for is incurable, and the last group is the melanoma group, which I am a member of. The last group has mainly melanoma patients in it but there are also family members there as well.
To join any or all of these groups just click on the links I've created and then choose 'click to join' or 'join' (depending on the device you're using) on the page that opens. You can then introduce yourself and post questions in the same way as you posted here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
When you have a minute, it would be great if you could pop something about the cancer journey the person you're caring for has experienced so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
If you have any difficulty navigating the community just drop me a reply and I'll be pleased to help.

Thanks, I have joined those groups.
Re"If you have any difficulty navigating the community just drop me a reply and I'll be pleased to help." Yes, please.
I cannot find messages once I have opend the New Notification and moved off the message. I had to go back to my email to find this one. Is there a way *within th forum* to get back to a message that I have already read and closed?
Hi Robbie
The easiest way to see your previous posts and replies is to click on your username or icon and then choose 'activity', which will either be in a drop down list or across the top of your screen depending on your device. This will show you all posts that you've either started or responded to. Currently, to see all of them scroll to the very bottom of the webpage, past the green banner and this will cause all of them to load.
I hope that helps.
