Ive joined the community today following recurrence of peritoneal cancer, after undergoing CRS and HIPEC at Basingstoke in July. I've found out today that next course if action will be systemic chemotherapy at my local Trust.
The wait over christmas has been difficult to say the least. I've also found the PMP community site which is already really helpful. Rare cancers can be particularly isolating.
Hi and a warm welcome to the Online Community, a Community that no one really looks to see themselves joining, and so sorry to hear about your diagnosis.
A cancer diagnosis can bring a lot of confusion, stress and many questions but talking with other people who are on the same type of journey can help a lot.
The Community is organised into support groups so you may want to start by joining our supportive Pseudomyxoma peritonei and Peritoneal cancer groups as you will connect with others walking the treatment journey both as patient or family.
