Hi folks, I want to introduce myself.
I have to have my bladder and prostate removed on January 11th and I'm obviously scared and nervous at the thought.
I have a T2 tumour with grade 3 aggressiveness unfortunately and this is the only way to get well again. The surgeons and staff have been marvellous and very supportive ever since I was diagnosed
I was advised to join a support group by a fellow cancer patient for consolation and advice and I will be asking questions, and asking for help as I learn to walk this new life.
I am 61 years young and have been a bricklayer for most of my working life. I have recently retired from work but remain active.
I look forward to the future discussions.
Best John
Hi and a warm welcome to the community. I am from the Bladder Cancer Group. I had a different treatment to you , but we have many in the group who have had radical cystectomies and continue to live normal and active lives. We also have people waiting for the same op as yourself. Frightening times I know, as I was diagnosed T3 seven years ago. Please come and join us. Click the link to get to the group. Join, and introduce yourself. A friendly and supportive bunch who will have answers for any questions you may have. Best wishes.
