Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community
I'm sorry to read that you've just been diagnosed with DCIS and that you're waiting for further tests. I can remember very well how shocked I was when told I had melanoma 4 years ago but most people find that once a treatment plan is decided then they start to feel a lot more in control. Obviously having lots of anxiety is not good so can I recommend having a look at this from Macmillan on managing anxiety.
I can see that you've already found and joined a couple of the breast cancer groups which are great places to ask questions, share experiences and get support from others with the same type of cancer. You can introduce yourself and post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
When you have a minute, it would be really useful if you could pop something about your journey so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
If you have any difficulty navigating the community just drop me a reply and I'll be pleased to help.

Thank you for your help and advice. I have had four biopsies this morning so feeling a little exhausted and sore, but will have z look at the managing anxiety and update my profile later. Xx
I have had a rough time over the last few weeks, after my MRI results picked up more abnormalities in both my breasts, had to have a 4 more biopsies(not a pleasant 2 hour experience). Had results back on the 29th Dec, luckily all biopsies were normal, big sigh of relief. 11th Jan I will be having a Lumpectomy on right side with boob reduction and uplift on both sides, followed by radiotherapy. Scared but so grateful that it hasnt become invasive. Would love to hear from anyone who has had similar diagnosis and surgery.
I'm sorry to hear what a rough time you've had over the last few weeks but it's great news that the 4 additional biopsies have all come back normal.
The best place to ask for others with a similar diagnosis and surgery to come forward would be the breast cancer group which I can see you've already found and joined. Clicking on the link I've created will take you straight there where you can then introduce yourself and ask questions by starting a new post in the same way that you did when you first posted here.
All the best and if you need any help finding your way around just give me a shout.

Its been a bit of an emotional roller coaster since my operation as they found the tumor to be double the size they thought it was. So where originally I was diagnosed with Higher Grade DCIS measuring 65mm I have now been diagnosed with invasive DC grade 3. The actualize if the DCIS was only 14mm and the invasive cancer they found was 95mm. I am now booked in for a Mastectomy and sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy on the 24th Feb . I am also HER2 Positive so will need Anti HER2 Therapy and Chemotherapy, which was one of my biggest fears. I just pray that the cancer hasn't spread to my lymph nodes. I am scared and I am funding it hard to process all this new diagnosis and treatment.
I have had another change of plan to my treatment, I will not be having the Mastectomy on Wednesday as they want to start my Chemo and Targeted therapy ASAP. I will still be having the Lymph Node Biopsy and they now want me to also have a CT scan within the next 2 weeks. I am very worried about starting my treatment, although feel a little better after speaking with the Breast Care Nurse yesterday who was lovely.
Hi
I'm sorry to hear that you've had a change of plan to your treatment and I can understand that it must be worrying when your plan keeps changing.
Please do post your concerns in the breast cancer group where you'll connect with others who will understand what you're going through.
