Hello everyone.
I was first diagnosed in April 19 with a cecal and appendix tumor and had an operation. The cancer wasn't totally gone and I needed another operation. The second operation was a big one as the cancer had found itself some other areas to hide following on from the first operation. This was November last year and it took me until the January of this year to feel anywhere near half normal. Anyway, I had some chemotherapy and started to get back on track and feeling well. Routine scans in the summer were all clear and I was really happy. I had another routine follow up on Wednesday and received a call today to say that, despite the majority of the scan being positive with no spread to any other areas, a node has been found in my pelvic area that needs further investigation as it looks suspicious.
I'm really disappointed as I thought I was kicking on and doing well but now it looks like its back and it'll be chemotherapy all over again and just a big step backwards.
Hi
I'm sorry to read that you've recently discovered that your cancer has returned. I can totally understand why you'd be feeling disappointed when you thought you'd got rid of it.
I can see that previously you posted in the bowel cancer group and I'm sure the members of that group will be just as willing to support you now as they were the first time around. Clicking on the link I've created will take you straight to the group when you're ready to post.
Wishing you all the best
