Hello,

I am 50 years old and will be seeing a gynocologist oncologist ( please excuse the spelling) to see what the next steps will be.

I went to my GP because I was feeling bloated and having little accidents bladder wise. A little history... I had a hysterectomy when I was 27 due to endometriosis and only have my overies. I have a family history of cancer. My mother had breast, colon and lung cancer)

My GP ordered a transvaginal ultrasound and pelvic ultrasound that showed an irregular cyst on my left overy. She referred me to a gynocologist. The gynocologist ordered a CA 125 which came back elevated at 43.

I am now being referred to the gynocologist oncologist on Thursday and also a gene specialist for gene testing. I am waiting to have a MRI scheduled.

It seems at times like this is happening to someone else, I had prepared myself for the possibility of breast or colon cancer and did my regular screenings to catch anything early. Ovarian cancer never crossed my mind.

Has anyone ever been referred to a gynocologist oncologist and it turn out to be just a old angry overy? Waiting is so hard for me. I am the type of person that wants all the information good or bad and then move on to fix it. Waiting is not my strong suit.

Thank you for your time.

Bobbie
