I was diagnosed with pan coastal lung tumour also in my rib and lymph nodes just over a year ago, i dont know much about it as i havent wanted to know too much.i also had a brain tumour

Thankfully on my.last 3 scans it hasnt grown .i had radiotherapy which wasnt too bad. I had approx 18 sessions.

I also broke my pelvis with falling all the time, i take cbd and im sure its helping. I dont have many.bad days like i used to do.

Im 55 and they said its treatable not curable..

I havent really talked to anyone about it but feel i might need to as i do get days when im feeling very down.

I dont have much family but thankfully have very good friends. But i hope to find some calming positive people on here who might help me.

Thank you

  • Hi  and a warm welcome to the Macmillan Online Community, a Community that no one really plans to see themselves joining, and so sorry to hear about your diagnosis and ongoing issues.

Although I have a different type of cancer I am also ‘treatable but incurable’, I was told this back in 1999 so I have had years to get my head round it and learn to live with my cancer, not be controlled by my cancer.

A cancer diagnosis brings a lot of confusion, stress and many questions but talking with other people who are on the same type of journey helps a lot.

You may want to join our Lung Cancer group as this is the place where you will connect with others walking the treatment journey both as a patient or family.

Follow the above link then choose ‘click to join' or ‘join’ when the page opens.

You can then introduce yourself, post questions or just  join in with existing discussions by clicking on 'reply'.

Its always good to talk and the Macmillan Support Services provides lots of information, support or just a listing ear.

Most services are open 8am to 8pm, 7 days a week and it's free to call on 0808 808 00 00 have a look by Clicking here to see what is available.

You can use other methods to contact our Support Services (LINK) and we also have our Ask an Expert section, but do allow two working days for replies from our expert team.

    All the very best.
