Hello to you all on here .

My story is that I attended a routine mammogram appointment 4 weeks ago . I felt everything would be fine and I wouldn’t need to worry for next 3 years . The results I was told would come through the post in 2 weeks after mammogram.

The following week I came home from work to a letter from breast unit at my local hospital asking me attend the start of the following week for another mammogram. The mammogram led to an ultrasound and then biopsy on same day , I was then invited back for results 10 days later .

I went back for results and was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer . 11 days ago I had a lumpectomy and some lymph nodes removed. I’m due back next Friday to discuss surgery findings and my treatment plan. I tested Her2 positive which apparently means I will need chemotherapy and radiotherapy too.

I also tested hormone oestrogen and progesterone positive but have been told it’s good ? Anyone know bit more about this? .

I am keeping positive and I will fight hard it’s going to be the hardest fight of my life so far ....but I’m only 50 so I’ll do whatever it takes to be around for a long time yet ......
