Hi everyone
where do I start I had bowel cancer two and half years ago which was successfully treated with surgery ,I was then to discover I had secondary cancer in my left lung
which I had surgery at the Brompton hospital last December then in March my scan detected nodules in my right lung ,which I am now at home recovering after surgery
and I was told today I have a small nodule on my left lung which can’t be operated on as near airway ,so going to have systemic treatment in the coming weeks
and hopefully get some positive results or at least rest bite ,my question is are there people out there having continued treatment for years and leading a fairly normal
life .
thank you and good luck to everyone going through treatment
Hi Forbsey, welcome to the community, though sorry to hear of secondary lung cancer and the treatment you have had so far. You might want to take a look at the Secondary lung cancer forum where you will meet many people in a similar situation to yourself. You might also want to have a look at the Lung cancer forum as there are many people there who have secondary lung cancer, and that group is a little more active at the moment.
Take care x
