I am a 63 year old married lady and two weeks ago I was diagnosed with secondary liver cancer. Two years ago I was diagnosed with a tumour in my left eye and consequently received brachytherapy which meant sewing a radiation plaque in my eye and firing radiation at the tumour for a week. All went well and over the last two years I have been having six monthly cancer scans to make sure it hasn’t metastasised. All was clear in March and then out of the blue two weeks ago something showed up on my liver. They think it has come from my eye operation and possibly before I even ha£ the operation. To say I am gutted is an understatement.
We put all our faith in Moorfields and now it looks like that operation was a waste of time.
I am really scared. I have two grown up sons and a great family. I have so much to do and be part of over the next few years. Now it all looks so scary.
On Tuesday I have a biopsy planned and then I need to wait for the results. It’s the waiting I’m scared about.
Anyone else been in this situation.
