Hello,
I was looking for some advice, please. My younger sister is in the middle of radiotherapy for primary TNBC. She has been offered tamoxifen but has been advised that it targets only hormonal breast cancer.
Has anyone with TNBC taken/ in the middle of taking tamoxifen? If so, how are you responding?
I have been doing some research and come across new pre clinical trials that suggest that tamoxifen can aid cancer cell death TNBC by focussing on the link between the mutated protein 53 and ER beta receptor. It’s look promising but I feel that my sister has been put off taking tamoxifen which leaves her with no after care/ medication which worried us all so very much l.
Thank you so very much in advance
Hi Littleteacher welcome to the forum. I don't know enough to answer your question with any sensible facts but I wondered if you might like to post your post in the Ask a Nurse section of the site and I have included a link below, which if you click on should take you straight to that part of the site. I cant guarantee that the nurse will be able to answer either but they will have more knowledge so hopefully should be able to answer better, maybe more than we could
.Best Wishes and hope that you get some answers that will help you all.x
