Hi everyone.
I am absolutely petrified and have been for the past 8 weeks.
for a couple of years, my monthly’s have become heavier but over the last 6 months or so, they have become more frequent and I now have sudden gushes.
I contacted the GP and he made a referral to gynaecology. Because of the backlog, I was sent to a private hospital. The doctor at the time (4 weeks ago) was rude, did not listen to anything. He made a comment of something looking sinister. He took a biopsy and showed me the scan pictures. He wrote a letter which completely contradicted everything he said and stated that lining was at 16mm (his words, slightly thickened)
I had to contact the GP 10 days later due to pain and bleeding. I was put on antibiotics.
20 days after the biopsy, I was still in pain. The GP referred me back to hospital for a second scan. The hospital called 4 hours later and asked me to come in the following day.
I went to hospital and told the radiologist that the consultant said there were no growths and the lining at 16 days into the cycle was 16mm. She was asking questions like my age, how many children etc. After she had finished, I asked if the lining had shrunk. She stated that there was a growth and the lining was Significantly more than 3 weeks previous. She also said that she was pleased that they were able to fit me in!
I received a phone call 2 days later stating that the GP needed to speak to me a bout my scan results.
today (16/11/2020) my GP stated that the growth can not be determined as to what it is and the lining at 13 days into then cycle was 22mm. I am now back on an urgent referral to hospital and my GP has been honest and said that anything over 20mm is a cause for concern.
Still no biopsy results (4 weeks waiting)
I am scared out of my mind as I have been going to and from the hospital due to ore cancerous cells of the cervix and now I fear that things are worse and have been for a long time.
sorry to go on, but I don’t know anyone who has been through what I am going through.
I am 39 with 6 children (ages 19 to 10)
Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community
It's natural to be scared while waiting for the results of tests and biopsies but you've come to the right place for support.
The community is divided up into various groups so I'm going to suggest that you join the womb cancer group. This isn't because I think you have this type of cancer but because you'll be able to ask questions, share experiences and get support from others who have been where you are now.
To join just click on the link I've created and then choose 'click to join' or 'join' (depending on the device you're using) on the page that opens. You can then copy and paste your message from here into a new post by selecting 'New' and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
Sending a supportive ((Hug))
