Hi all. Recently diagnosed with bowel cancer. As you can imagine came as a huge shock. Had lots of mri ct and pet scans. This week had a laparoscopy to check to see if it had attached to anything but good news it hadn’t. Now just waiting on consultant to discuss surgery.

Hi and welcome to the community, although sorry to hear of your diagnosis. Many of us here will know what you are feeling at the moment as we have all been there. Any cancer diagnosis is scary and the early days of uncertainty and not knowing can be the worst. Once a treatment plan is in place, things tend to become a little less stressful as you know something positive is happening and you have something to focus on. There you will find others with experience of your particular cancer and will be able to support you and answer any questions you may have regarding tests and treatments.
