Hi, my name is Sue, I am 52, work full time,  I was diagnosed in August with breast cancer, I have had a mastectomy and first course of chemotherapy.  I am still finding my way round side effects, PICC line, working etc.  I have an extremely supportive husband.  We sadly lost his father and today is his funeral so we are both feeling a bit battered by life at present.  I have a positive attitude to life and I find there is usually a positive in  everything, and I hope I keep that attitude as time goes on. I gave posted a couple of things on the general site too. Well that's me, maybe someone will chat soon!

  • Hi Sue and a very warm welcome to the online community

First of all can I offer my condolences on the recent loss of your father-in-law and my thoughts are with you and your husband today. I'm also sorry to read that you've recently been diagnosed with breast cancer but pleased to hear that you have a very supportive husband.

I can see that you've already found and joined the breast cancer group which is a great place to ask questions, share experiences and get support from others. Clicking on the link I've created will take you straight there where you could copy and paste your introduction from here into a new post.

When you have a minute, it would be really useful if you could pop something about your journey so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
