I have 4 kids under 8 and it’s hard. I had mammogram and biopsy last Friday and I was told that I have a small cancer lump on my right breast but no Lymph notes underarms and I think surgery was mentioned but I was too devastated to take it in. How do ion get yourself distracted while waiting for biopsy results please? My appointment for the results are on the 19/10.

Hi Alexy
really sorry you have found yourself with this diagnosis and unimaginably difficult for you with 4 young children. Really scary time for you under any circumstances. Well done for reaching out to this community for some assistance.
going through this roller coaster does take a lot of energy and having 4 children will be exhausting so please take any suitable offers of help you feel able to help you through this.
try to get some ‘me time’ to recharge your batteries but also have as much fun with your children along the way and focus on them to help make these horrible waiting days go by quicker.
im a lot older with grown up children flown the nest but can remember immersing myself in their lives when days were dark awaiting important court dates and that helped while they were awake but when they were asleep of course the time dragged and it was a bit of a relief when one of the boys woke up teething and the only answer was bonjella and Postman Pat videos.
Try not to over think what the future prognosis and treatment path may be. Having dealt with this roller coaster 3 times now the key for me is taking small steps, not thinking too far down the line and keep positive.
take care and I hope the 19th brings you better news.
all the best
