Hi have been diagnosed with valva cancer and since then have had a surgery to remove the tumour. They now want me to have bilateral sentinel nod biopsies . Just wondered if any one else is going through the same thing . Also help with the roller coaster of feelings. Thanks

  • Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community

Before I recommend a group for you to join, where you can ask questions, share experiences and get support, can I check that it is vulva cancer that you've been diagnosed with please.

    Yes

  • Thanks . I thought it was probably a typo, or spellcheck, but didn't want to assume Slight smile

The community has a group specifically for vulva cancer where you can chat to others who will understand what you're going through. To join just click on the link I've created and then choose 'click to join' or 'join' (depending on the device you're using) on the page that opens. You can then introduce yourself and post questions after selecting '+New' or '+' (again depending on the device you're using) and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

When you have a minute, it would be really useful if you could pop something about your journey so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
