Hi, I'm 53 and new to this, my sense of smell and taste literally disappeared about a year ago with a blocked nose one side then I had a puffy watery eye.
Went Doctor's who said it could be dry eye and my lack of taste and smell is age related. Given, eye drops and nasal spray.
Doctor looked inside and nostril and did say it looked inflamed. After the drops didn't work, I went back to Gp who referred me to see ENT Consultant. Unfortinatly we went into lockdown back in March, so I had to wait.
I kept calling once lock down was lifted, I was sent for a ct scan 4 last month, This showed a large lump in my nasal pushing on my eye, had MRI with contrast. That the consultant are 80% certain it's malignant and it looks aggressive. Started in the sinus and has gone to nasal and touching the skull.
I have nose and forehead pressure, really tired, thankfully no nosebleeds.
I'm now waiting to have a biopsy, it's a rare place to have cancer and it's very complex. I've just got over the shock but I'm petrified. I'm trying to remain positive and the worst thing is looking online and coronavirus hitting.
Wish I had a treatment plan, it's been such a long time. Does anyone know anyone who has had cancer in the nasal, sinus area please.
Thanks
