Mum was v recently and v unexpectedly (last week) diagnosed with aggressive lung cancer with secondary bone mets. Mum is currently in hospital and she is already too frail for chemo, but is fast tracked to a continuing healthcare plan for end of life care. Family and friends are being amazing, and mum is being more stoic than I could ever imagine. I’m struggling, and as a single child, with her incredibly rapid deterioration obviously, but also Covid restrictions to get her family to see mum. I’m also missing the physical support (I need a bloody hug!) that would normally come from my family and friendship group. How on earth are the rest of you coping with this during Covid??
Much love to all who are going through something similar...s
