Hi everyone. I’m probably posting in the wrong bit so sorry in advance! My husband has Stage 3 cancer of the vocal chord. He’s in week 5 of 6 chemo/radio. Understandably he falls asleep comfortably in the lounge on a regular basis. My question is do I wake him up at night to bring him to bed or leave him where he is comfy?
I feel guilty if I wake him up and guilty if I don’t.
Any advice would be appreciated thank you
Hi and welcome to the Online Community, although I am always sorry to see folks finding us and so sorry to hear about your husbands diagnosis.
Fatigue can be a mystery and during my long treatment we came to the conclusion that when the body said sleep then let it sleep and yes this was often in a chair but my wife did her best to anticipate these time and try and get me in bed as much as possible. Some light activity when he is awake helps regulate the sleep patterns as well.
